Scholarships

Competitive scholarship awards are available to all current and prospective students of the Chilliwack Academy of Music to help with the cost of lessons. Many thanks to Charles Lygo, Jean Tunbridge, Betty Grady, Dorothy and Bruce Prentice, and all of our wonderful donors.

The Joanne Patricia Stoutjesdyk Memorial Scholarship is for upper Fraser Valley students pursuing a post-secondary musical education. Thank you to all of the donors who have made this musical legacy of Joanne Patricia Stoutjesdyk possible. Scholarships are awarded annually, with an award of $400. Auditions for the award are held in late April.

Financial Scholarships are need-based awards available to students taking a season of lessons, funded by our annual fundraising event, the BC Tasting Festival, and by donations to the Financial Scholarship Fund. Awards vary depending on the funding and the number of successful applicants.
